My muffin is too wet and not cooking.

If your muffin comes out too "wet" or "soupy" you most likely added a bit too much water to the muffin mix or your microwave might be on the weaker side.

  • We recommend using a 1/4th measuring cup for a more accurate measurement of water/milk. Compared to the fill line this should produce a more consistent muffin batter.

  • If you used a 1/4th measuring cup and it came out “wet” it could be a couple of other things.

    • The top could just be a little wet but the rest of the muffin could be fully cooked. If you keep cooking your muffin cup to make sure the top is cooked the rest of the muffin cup can be incredibly dry. The wet spot should be safe to consume.

  • Your microwave could be weaker than the ones we usually use and test on. You may need to add 10-20 seconds of cooking time.

  • Believe it or not, altitude can also affect our prep and cook times. If you’re in a high altitude area please reduce the water/milk and add 20-30 seconds to your cook time.
